Deacon Kevin was born and raised within the Biddeford/Saco community. The middle of three children, he attended what is now known as St. James Catholic School and graduated from Biddeford High School in 1979. Deacon Kevin attended St. Anselm College from 1979-1983 where he earned a BA in Sociology. While he was at St. Anselm, he had the opportunity to study abroad at the American University in Aix-en-Provence.
From 1985-1987, Deacon Kevin attended St. John’s Seminary in Brighton, Massachusetts. Upon leaving seminary, he worked briefly at Bolduc Funeral Home and then began a 20 year career working at UNUM and then IDEXX Laboratories. While at IDEXX Laboratories, Deacon Kevin earned an MA in Pastoral Studies through the LIMEX program offered by the diocese at Loyola University, New Orleans. Completing this program, he was ordained a permanent deacon by Bishop Jerry Gerry on September 29, 2001. Since his ordination, Deacon Kevin has participated in his diaconal role within Good Shepherd Parish and at St. James School, where he taught for 3 years in the areas of Old Testament, New Testament, Morality and Ethics.
Deacon Kevin now coordinates the marriage preparation program with his wife, Aline, and the Homebound visitation program. Good Shepherd Parish is a wonderful place to work, and there are so many, many wonderful and giving people. Deacon Kevin believes that working with the parishioners of this newly developed parish has given him a new perspective on what it means to reach out to one another and as a result has deepened his faith.
Deacon Kevin has been married for 21 years and has two wonderful children. Josh is studying architecture at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC and Zach is presently a senior at Biddeford High School.
